Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai Passes Away at 80

Renowned evangelist and founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, has passed on to glory at the age of 80.

According to a statement released by his family titled “Glorious Transition,” the respected clergyman went home to be with the Lord on October 6, 2025.

The family described him as “a faithful soldier of the cross” who dedicated more than six decades of his life to passionate evangelism, impactful teaching of God’s Word, and powerful manifestations of the Holy Spirit.

“With hearts full of gratitude, we celebrate the homegoing of Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai,” the family said. “He was a spiritual general, a father of faith, a loving husband, a devoted father, and a mentor to countless people. His life was a true reflection of God’s grace, power, and love.”

Though his passing leaves a great void, the family expressed joy that he finished his earthly mission and now rests in eternal peace.

Details of the funeral arrangements will be communicated in due time.
