Dangote Ok with three daughters without a son
Aliko Dangote whose three daughters, Halima, Fatima and Mariya,
who hold senior positions in the groups of companies said he’s grateful to Allah for his three daughters, adding the daughters would take over the business as heirs.
African richest business mogul disclosed this in interview on Arise TV.
Dangote explained why the girls are like boys to him: ‘God controls everything. And for me, really, sometimes, yeah, you pray for God to give you a son, but that son might be the one that would tear down the name of the family.
So sometimes when God doesn’t give you something, don’t push..
Even if I had a son, I don’t think the son would have done better than these three daughters that I have’.
Despite not having sons in African tradition as heir, he believed that his three daughters with their education would be more creative and take his company to the next level.
He also said his daughters have natural love for business, adding ‘ they are very, very interested in the business.I’m not forcing them to come and be part of this business, no. They are very interested, and they enjoy it.’
